Stephen Turnbull: senior pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, White Bear Lake, Minn. A speaker and teacher, Turnbull recently completed his Ph.D. in New Testament at Duke University, focusing on Paul's writings. Here, Turnbull is part of the Institute of Lutheran Theology's new teaching program, of which Lutheran Church of the Master is a newly designated teaching center. More live classes with theologians, pastors and professors will be offered in the months to come. More information: www.instituteoflutherantheology.org. Also LCM member Steve Hutchinson, ILT representative, is class coordinator.

Course Description: Can you imagine experiencing St. Paul defending the Gospel 20 centuries following his eloquent letter written to the early Christian churches in Galatia? Paul wrote Galatians to remind Christians why faith in Christ alone brings us God's salvation rather than slavery to laws and rules. Galatians is considered a very exciting letter as it drives us to define our identity and our Christian-community boundaries on the basis of nothing but Jesus.

All are welcome to begin the class by meeting for a small group first at 6:30 p.m. to share fellowship and apply the impact of Paul's writings to our daily lives.
