District Pastor of the Heartland District

The District Pastor offers spiritual support within the district by:

1. providing confidential pastoral care for church professionals
2. encouraging church professionals in their call
3. fostering positive relationships between church professionals
4. organizing prayer requests across the district and by making them known to the congregations
5. establishing and maintaining a relationship with pastoral candidates of the Heartland District
6. serving as a teaching resource for the district

The District Pastor does not:

1. work with or influence the call process
   1. An exception would be a church professional seeking out the District Pastor and asking for advice in the call process.
   2. The role of the District Pastor in the process would end with advice given.
2. chair any meetings of the district, that would be the District Coordinator
3. serve as a spokesperson for the district; that would be the District Coordinator
